Apple and Google ban TikTok app despite Trump Executive Order

Apple and Google are continuing to ban TikTok from their app stores, days after President Trump signed a 75 day reprieve. Without the ability to download updates, the app risks becoming unusable overtime.

Neither company has commented on the ongoing app store ban. Many legal analysts question Trump’s ability to override a TikTok ban passed by both houses of Congress and signed into law by President Biden.

Fans and creators who may have deleted the app in haste are bidding up thousands of used phones with TikTok installed. Some are fetching thousands of dollars.

Will Creators Get Paid?

Meanwhile creators are increasingly concerned about how all of this will affect their income and if they will have problems getting paid. Some are already reporting overdue payments.
