StubHub‘s IPO plans are on hold due to market volatility, specifically following President Donald Trump’s tariff announcements. Proposed laws limiting ticket resale in the US and UK may also be a factor.

The company had filed its IPO paperwork with the SEC in March, seeking a listing on the New York Stock Exchange. While they were aiming for a valuation around $16.5 billion, the current market uncertainty has led to them postponing their public offering.

StubHub previously postponed plans for an IPO in the summer of 2024.

Surge, a marketing agency focused on festivals and events, reports that it’s helped $1.5 million in tickets so far this year for Avant Gardner, Ultra EuropeWorld Pride, Insomniac’s Project GlowWindy City SmokeoutPalm Tree Festival and others.

Surge taps into a nationwide network of over 3,000 active ambassadors and a college network spanning across 400 universities.
