The Brooklyn Mirage has closed and will reopen May 1, completely reimagined from the ground up.

The new Mirage will include the first fully kinetic shutter system of this scale in a live music venue. When closed, this architectural feature pays homage to the first Mirage generations, which had no LED screens at all. With the shutter system open, a hyper-realistic 270-degree virtual environment is created by LED screens with a combined 30K resolution, 100 million pixels and over 3,000 tiles – exceeding the size, density, and scale of visual experiences at some of the world’s largest music festivals.

Complementing the revolutionary visual system is an all-new, custom-built L-Acoustics sound system with over 100 precision-calibrated speakers and subwoofers strategically placed throughout the venue to ensure perfectly balanced sound.

The transformation is led by Avant Gardner‘s in-house design and production team, in partnership with design studios Hard Feelings and Studio Greenbank.
