
Study shows major growth in Patreon Creator income
There have been a major growth in Patreon creator income, according to the new State of Create report based on internal data from its creator community.
Of particular interest are increases in revenue from fans compared to four years ago along with some surprising comparisons to TikTok – which Patreon apparently sees as a top rival.

- Network Power: Over 60% of new sign-ups and more than half of a creator’s revenue come from within Patreon’s fan network.
- Earnings Boost: Creators earn an average of $52 per fan annually, and $110 per paying member.
- Competitive Edge: Median annual income per fan on Patreon is 40x higher than on TikTok.
- Creators Want A Community: 87% of creators value the importance of having a fan community around their work
- Subscriptions Provide Top Revenue Streams: 67% more creators report earning from subscriptions than five years ago
- The Follow is Less Popular: 57% of fans’ time on TikTok is spent watching work from creators they don’t follow
