Live Music Business News: Wasserman raids WME • Slone to UAA • new ECE partner • Indie Bible discount • Klvr

In the lastest live music business news, Wasserman Music raided WME to add Kevin Shivers, James Rubin, and Cristina Baxter. Shivers and Rubin will join the live music Leadership Team.

Wasserman took a hit last year in the aftermath of agency mogul Casey Wasserman‘s high-profile extramarital affairs scandal involving female agency employees. In August, marquee client Billy Eilis exited for WME.

Now Los Angeles-based Shivers joins Wasserman Music as EVP & Managing Executive from WME, where he was a Senior Partner in the agency’s music division and co-director of its Hip-Hop/R&B team. At WME, Shivers represented global music stars including Tyler, The Creator, Kali Uchis, Snoop Dogg, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi and more

New York-based Rubin joins Wasserman Music as EVP & Managing Executive from WME, where he was a Senior Partner in the agency’s music division and co-director of its Hip-Hop/R&B team. At WME, Rubin represented Travis Scott, Tyler, The Creator, Solange, Bryson Tiller, Wiz Khalifa, and others.

LA-based Baxter joins Wasserman Music as Senior Vice President from WME, where she was a Partner in the agency’s music division and co-director of its Pop and Rock teams. At WME, Baxter represented André 3000, Kygo, Carly Rae Jepsen, SOFI TUKKER, Kali Uchis, and others.

Ryan Slone Joins Universal Attractions

Universal Attractions Agency has expanded its rock and pop division with the addition of veteran booking agent Ryan Slone.

Nashville based Slone joins UAA from Bonfire with his roster of Americana and Roots artists including Danielle Nicole, dada, 7Horse, LOVE with Johnny Echols, Talking Dreads, Scott Mulvahill, Black Circle, and Monkeys on a String.

Slone is active member of NITO and previously worked at Ovation Artist Group and New Frontier Touring.

East Coast Entertainment

Live entertainment booker and producer and EastCoast Entertainment (ECE) has named Brad Strouse a managing partner. This milestone coincides with Strouse’s ninth anniversary at ECE.

Since joining in 2016 as a general booking agent, he rose to a Location Managing Director of their Richmond and DC offices.

Pro audio startup Klvr (founded by musicians and sound engineers) will showcase the Charger Pro at AV tech show ISE 2025 (Barcelona, 4-7 February), helping music venues, production companies and touring artists move beyond single-use batteries with a rechargeable alternative, reducing environmental waste, improving performance and saving costs.
