Singer-Songwriter Cape May Conference returns
Helmed by music industry veteran John Harris, the Singer-Songwriter Cape May conference will bring live performances and artist mentorship back to historic Congress Hall and 16 live music venues across this beautiful New Jersey seaside town.
This celebrated event combines two days of music business panels, workshops, mentoring, and keynote sessions at Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom and Harrison Conference Center. Over 50 music industry professionals will lead discussions, provide guidance, and inspire attendees with their expertise.

Keynote Speakers & Featured Performers
- Friday, March 28: Laura Stevenson, acclaimed singer-songwriter from Long Island, NY, will keynote at 5:15 PM and perform at 8:00 PM in Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom.
- Saturday, March 29: Adam Weiner, Cherry Hill native and frontman of the Philadelphia-based band Low Cut Connie, will keynote at 5:15 PM and perform at 8:00 PM in the same venue.
Laura Stevenson is a celebrated singer-songwriter from Long Island, NY, with six studio albums to her name, including her Billboard-charting releases The Big Freeze (2019) and Laura Stevenson (2021). Known for her evocative songwriting, Stevenson recently completed an anniversary tour featuring reimagined renditions of her album Wheel.
Adam Weiner, frontman of the energetic and genre-defying Low Cut Connie, is a Cherry Hill native celebrated for his electrifying live performances. During the pandemic, his “Tough Cookies” livestreams garnered critical acclaim, earning him the title of “Pandemic Person of the Year” by The New Yorker. Low Cut Connie’s latest album, Art Dealers (2023), further cemented their reputation for innovation and creativity.
Showcase Performances & Deadlines
- After 7:00 PM each evening, 16 Cape May venues will host free showcase performances featuring over 130 acts selected from artist submissions.
- Artists wishing to showcase must submit applications by December 20, 2024. Selected participants will receive conference credentials and performance slots.
Public Registration
A limited number of conference registrations and reserved seats for featured artist performances will be available for purchase starting January 15, 2025.
