The full list of MUSICIANS: 11 HARD TRUTHS

1. Streaming is the best thing that ever happened to the music industry, you have more control than ever before.
2. Short form content isn’t going anywhere. It’s the number 1 discovery for music.
3. The music industry is easier than it’s ever been, social media has opened up a global world.
4. You are a business, whether you like it or not. Without realizing this, you can just be a puppet.
5. You are (probably) not shadow banned.
6. You are obsessed with numbers, but the wrong ones. We should be obsessed with how to look after real fans, not follower metrics.
7. Advertising works, but not the way you’re doing it.
8. Making money from your fanbase isn’t horrible, it’s a necessity.
9. Albums are a bad strategy unless you have a fanbase.
10. Social media is a reflection of you. If it isn’t working, you can improve everything.
11. You’re not too good for covers.
