Bandsintown High Notes: Ultimate Recap of Live Music in 2024 is here!

Bandsintown has released High Notes 2024, the ultimate personalized recap for every Fan and Artist of their year in live music.

Starting today, fans will receive Bandsintown High Notes, a summary of the shows and venues they went to, new artists they followed, genres they favored, and more. They’ll also be able to compare their preferences to others in Bandsintown’s rapidly growing community of 93 million registered live music fans.

Bandsintown’s 640,000 registered artists will also get access to a personalized dashboard that recaps their follower growth, the number of shows they played along with a breakdown of the venues, cities, and countries that hosted them.

Artists can also customize and download High Notes 2024 graphics to share on social media.

A Tipping Point For Bandsintown and Live Music

In 2024, Bandsintown doubled its concert recommendations shared to 7.5 billion generating over 230 million clicks to buy tickets.

The year was also a tipping point for artist-fan engagement, with 275 million new artist followers and over 9.5 million new users organically joining the Bandsintown platform.

  • The fastest-growing artists of the year reflect the evolving musical landscape. From Chappell Roan’s meteoric rise to boygenius redefining the indie genre, and Noah Kahan’s folk anthems captivating millions, 2024 showcased diversity and storytelling. 
  • Rauw Alejandro’s remarkable follower growth showcases the rising global influence of Latin music, a surge in fan engagement for the likes of Childish Gambino highlights the power of deeply creative live experiences, and SZA’s explosive increase in followers underscores the cultural resonance of raw storytelling among audiences.
  • The concerts that stirred the most excitement were as varied as the artists themselves with legacy acts like Chris Brown generating incredible interest for shows in Brazil and South Africa with each show having 284,000 and 204,000 reminders set, respectively. Meanwhile, several of Chappell Roan’s tour dates garnered noteworthy attention with her highest-performing shows in the United States averaging north of 164,000 reminders set. 
  • The one appearance that generated the most interest among Bandsintown’s users? Tyler, The Creator’s set at Camp Flog Gnaw with more than 285,000 reminders set for his performance.

  • Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre earned its title as the year’s most sought-after venue for the most reminders set for its concerts
  • Atlanta’s State Farm Arena captured fans with record-breaking ticket clicks. 
  • Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre made its mark as the venue with the most new followers
  • The Anthem in Washington D.C. earned its stripes as the indie venue with the most new followers.
  • 2024 Governors Ball emerged as the festival with the most views on Bandsintown

2025 & Beyond

While there are some early warning signs for live music going forward – rising costs, possible oversaturation, and troubles with ticketing – as Team Bandsintown so aptly stated: “Live music isn’t just back. It’s more vibrant, diverse, and essential than ever.”
