The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) has named Fabrice Sergent, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bandsintown, to its Advisory Board. Sargent joins a distinguished roster of Advisory Board members, including artists like Christian McBride and Dave Grohl, and executives from the RIAA, A2IM, Music Biz, Eventbrite, Etix, Symphonic and more.

Over his long-standing career, Sergent has co-founded and scaled multiple digital media companies on both sides of the Atlantic. Bandsintown, founded with his longtime partner Julien Mitelberg, has become the top live music discovery platform in the world with over 90 million registered users. Through its own sites, apps and partnerships with Spotify, Apple, Shazam, Google, and more, Bandsintown has revolutionized live music discovery delivering 400 million concert recommendations and lead more than 20 million fans to buy tickets monthly.

Sergent’s expertise in live music marketing and passion for artists advocacy makes him an important resource helping to drive NIVA’s vision and goals forward.

The appointment is also an extension of the successful partnership between Bandsintown and NIVA in support of the live independent community. Through their groundbreaking certification program “Live Independent” and exclusive discounts on Bandsintown’s powerful marketing solutions, the collaboration works to bring valuable promotional tools directly to NIVA members.

“I am honored to join the NIVA Advisory Board, where the ethos of Bandsintown aligns seamlessly with NIVA’s mission to fight for the vital contribution to culture of independent venues and artists,” said Fabrice Sergent, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bandsintown. “Both organizations share a deep commitment to nurturing the live music ecosystem and fostering innovation in the industry.”

“Fabrice Sergent has been a champion for independent venues and artists since founding Bandsintown,” said Stephen Parker, Executive Director of NIVA. “His passion for our members, visionary partnership on Live Independent, and experience in live entertainment will be critical as we search for more resources and create more opportunities to help independent stages succeed in the competitive and ever-evolving live industry.”
