Case Study: Jada Kingdom & Govana

About

Jamaican dancehall powerhouses Govana and Jada Kingdom teamed up to release a single titled, ‘Pull Over’. This is the second collaboration from these artists following their 2018 track ‘Better Than That’. ‘Pull Over’ is the first single from Govana off his most recent album on Ineffable Records. The song is produced by Chimney Records (Shenseea, Kranium), and there’s a music video with both artists to accompany the release. In addition, Jada Kingdom has received acclaim from The FADER, Rolling Stone, Vibe and more for this release.

Distribution/Marketing

First, we distributed the track to our network of over 200 DSPs to ensure that the single would resonate with audiences worldwide, creating a wave of exposure and engagement. The new single titled “Pull Over” builds on the success of their previous 2018 hit collaboration, offering fans a familiar and proven musical chemistry that has resonated well in the past.

That said, the release also follows a high-profile back-and-forth with another popular dancehall artist, which significantly boosted Jada Kingdom’s visibility in the music scene. This heightened attention provided an ideal platform for the new single. In addition, the strategic timing of “Pull Over” taps into the surge of public interest generated by recent events, ensuring the single reached an audience, eager for new music during this peak period of popularity. 🔊
