In collaboration with the legendary Jesse Colin Young, Future Youth Records is inviting young songwriters to participate in The Perfect Stranger Songwriting Contest. As the lead singer and founding member of The Youngbloods, Young sang one of the all-time most unifying songs, “Get Together,” taking it to #5 on the Billboard charts in 1969. He later embarked on a successful solo career and The Perfect Stranger is his tenth solo album showcasing collaborations with such legends as Michael McDonald and Carly Simon.
With this contest, young talent like you are given the chance to show off their skills and win some badass prizes. See what’s in store below.
Requirements
- Only songs written by youth aged 18-24 living in the United States at the time of submission will be considered.
- Songs must be related to meaningful connections.
- They will only accept unreleased songs.
- Songs must be submitted through a private Soundcloud link and include the full lyrics of the song in the description section.
