New Liam Gallagher and John Squire LP is world’s first vinyl EcoRecord
The new Liam Gallagher and John Squire joint album has been released by WMG as its first sustainable EcoRecord.
While this is the first official EcoRecord, others are also manufacturing “green” vinyl.
This LP was manufactured in orange using recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) instead of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the base material. No natural gas or steam was used in the production, according to manufacturer Sonopress, reducing the environmental impact of the manufacturing process by up to 85% compared to the conventional method.
German-based Sonopress is the media replication arm of Bertelsmann.
The new album, released on WMG’s Warner Records label, is available now exclusively at Amazon worldwide and JB Hi-Fi in Australia.
Here is the first official video for the new release.
