Is Threads dead? No, say 130 million active users
Threads launched with a bang. Thirty million signups in its first 24 hours, then 100 million in less than a month, and then an apparent falloff in user interest.
Did Meta-owned, Instagram-linked X/Twitter alternative Threads die?
Not for 130 million monthly active users.
“Threads has more people actively using it today than it did during its initial launch peak,” Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg told investors last week. “Threads is growing steadily with more than 130 million monthly actives.”
That’s up 30 million in the last three months and still “growing steadily.”
If you need more proof that Threads is a platform not to be ignored, check out these new download stats from December via Appfigures. Note that X/Twitter did not make the top 10.
