SoundExchange distributed $1B royalties in 2023, up 4.3%

SoundExchange paid $250 million in royalties in the fourth quarter of 2023, bringing its total gross distributions in 2023 to $1 billion, up 4.3% above 2022 distributions of $959M.

SoundExchange reported distributions in Q1 of $229M, $269M in Q2, and $257M in Q3.

Last year, the digital PRO also celebrated its 20th anniversary, along with the March milestone of $10B in cumulative direct payments.

SoundExchange collects and distributes non-interactive digital performance royalties like SiriusXM and Pandora to more than 650,000 music creators and rights owners.
