Indie Guitarist shares Growth Hacks, How much 10M Spotify streams paid
Independent guitarist Bernth Brodträger plays in several European rock bands, though he’s probably best known for his YouTube channel with 1.06 million subscribers.
But Bernth, as he is known professionally, wanted to expand that success to Spotify.
Now he’s sharing how he successfully built an audience on Spotify, along with screenshots of his Spotify For Artists dashboard and actual earnings on 10 million streams last year.
There is a wealth of valuable information on Spotify marketing in this short video, along with how he experimented to find the right formula. “Going for consistent weekly releases and kind of comparing the platform to YouTube or Instagram has really helped me with understanding how it works,” he explained.
What were his earnings as a D.I.Y artist from 10 million streams on Spotify? $41,243. YouTube pays less for the same number of streams.
Rather than being disappointed with how much he earned from Spotify, Bernth says he’ll continue to focus his efforts there because “it is simply the biggest one.”
“Your music has a lot of potential to go viral because there are a lot of people using this service,” he concluded.
