QUICK HITS: Machin + Virgin • Brooklyn Basement expands • GoldState + Flexpoint Ford •

Machin & Equinoccio Records have signed a worldwide agreement with Virgin Music Group.  The independent labels, founded by legendary Mexican singer, songwriter, and producer Pepe Aguilar, both focus on the Regional Mexican genre.

Brooklyn Basement Records, located in Brooklyn and Nashville, has relaunched as Brooklyn Basement.

Brooklyn Basement will now have three divisions: Brooklyn Basement Management, Brooklyn Basement Records, and Brooklyn Basement & Co – the latter being the relaunched artist services division.

The Brooklyn Basement Management Division includes Ron Pope (Brooklyn Basement Records), Miko Marks (Redtone Records), and Emily Scott Robinson (Oh Boy Records), and with the launch, will announce the signing of Brandy Zdan to the management division who will be working with Clark and Nashville-based day-to-day manager Gracie Moore.

GoldState Music has announced a significant investment by Flexpoint Ford Asset Opportunities (“Flexpoint”) to accelerate its strategy of investing in music intellectual property assets, including full catalogs, influential copyrights, master recordings, and publishing rights.

Riot Games has extended and expanded its global publishing administration deal with BMG.

The new venture will focus on signing and servicing songwriters to frontline publishing deals with BMG. Additionally, the partnership will leverage the broad scope of creative opportunities across Riot’s products and music initiatives.
