At its peak, BeReal was one of the most popular social media platforms, with over 73 million users. Unfortunately, BeReal’s user base has dwindled and it’s now more of a niche platform. If you’ve invested your time in BeReal and actually built a community there, it might be worth keeping it as a community platform. Otherwise, it’s not worth your time, as the social media trend for BeReal seems to be well and truly over.
Social media tip #3: Think of social media platforms as search engines
People are increasingly using social media platforms not only to see what content is popular at the moment, but also to search for information. This social media trend is estimated to continue growing in 2024. So, how can artists like you use this trend to your advantage? As part of your social media strategy, continue adding targeted hashtags to your content, and make sure to start including certain keywords related to your music in your captions. This will help you reach a wider audience.

Community building has never been as important as it is now. Given that both social media and the music industry are so saturated, it’s more important than ever to carve your own niche and create your own community.

The “For You Page” is a great place to start if you’re struggling to come up with content ideas. You could also take a look at what other artists are doing and brainstorm ways to take what they’re doing to the next level.
Social media tip #7: Repurpose your videos on YouTube Shorts
The TikTok to Reel video pipeline is a thing everyone knows about – but there’s now a relatively new player in town: YouTube Shorts. YouTube is such a large and popular platform that it was only a matter of time before it joined the short video trend.
And while it was initially dismissed as a TikTok clone, it began to hold its own and now has more than 50 billion daily views. If you already have a YouTube channel, posting YouTube Shorts could be a new way to expand your influence and reach people who might want to listen to your music.
