Kayne West sold just 10K copies of Donda 2 in first two days
Kayne West says that has “netted more than $2 million in revenue since the announcement on Thursday, February 17th.” That was the day that he announced that his new album Donda 2 album would only be available on his own $200 Stream Player and not on any streaming service.
That sounds like an auspices release launch until you do the math and realize that in the first two days it was available West only sold about 10,00 copies of Donda 2 and the Stream Players needed to play it.
Compare that to the first Donda album which in its first week of release reached No. 1 in 11 countries and had more than 775 million global steam including 442 million on Spotify and 242 million on Apple Music.
Even with 5 more days to complete the sales week, Donda 2 has a long way to go.

A long way to go? Maybe you don’t understand the assignment. Kanye will make way more money this way than streaming. Plus he is putting his physical product in our hands at a profit. Who else has done that since, Sony? He is breaking records, rules AND bypassing gatekeepers. Good for him.
