Team behind Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters launches NFT marketplace Folio

Joey Primiani, who created Lady Gaga’s online super-fan community LittleMonsters and Mirko Kiefer, a blockchain entrepreneur and engineer, have launched Folio to provide tools that artists, collectors, and dealers need to explore and showcase online portfolios.

Folio was founded after its founders finished a Web3 focused residency at Launch House in LA last Fall.

“NFT’s give the power back to the creators and make it much easier, and less intimidating for the everyday collector. It is disrupting traditional spaces in art, music, and collectibles by unlocking special access to the super-fans and collectors,” said Primiani.

Folio serves as a “Linkedin for Artists” to post work, be featured, discover new artists, collaborate and inspire others, By enabling engagement between fans and artists with tokens, Folio also creates a new way for talent to get discovered and hired.

While Folio launches focused on digital art, given Primiani’s background with Lady Gaga, it’s hard not to imagine Folio expanding into music.
