SoundExchange digital radio payouts were up 10.5% in Q4 2021
SoundExchange has released its Q4 2021 Digital Radio Report showing $249.3 million in quarterly payouts, a $23.7 million or 10.5% increase compared to the same quarter in 2020.
That’s slightly less than the $256.2 million paid out in Q3 2021.
Since its inception through the end of 2021, SoundExchange has paid out $8.9 billion in digital radio royalties.
Bruce Houghton is Founder and Editor of Hypebot and MusicThinkTank and serves as a Senior Advisor to Bandsintown which acquired both publications in 2019. He is the Founder and President of the Skyline Artists Agency and a professor for the Berklee College Of Music.
It says 10.5% on the infographic, which is also correct based on the two Q4 payment numbers.
