Spotify For Artists, Song Start launch free music education series with John Legend, Phoebe Bridgers, Charli XCX, more
Spotify for Artists has partnered with Song Start to launch a free music education video and podcast series starring A-list artists and music executives.
Song Start was co-founded by songwriters Ali Tamposi and Tamar Kaprelian.
The series debuts today with ten video episodes from John Legend, Camila Cabello, Charli XCX, Phoebe Bridgers, and others alongside ten corresponding podcast episodes that offer a deeper dive into topics like songwriting, production, business, and burnout featuring Sam Smith, Hayley Williams, Take a Day Trip, and others
Filmmaker Poppy de Villeneuve directs video tutorials on how to build a demo (TOKiMONSTA), artistry and persona (Hayley Kiyoko and Ingrid Andress), DIY recording set-ups (Kito), collaboration (Charli XCX and Tove Lo), writing hooks (Ali Tamposi and Andrew Watt), the music industry at large (Tamar Kaprelian), and more.
