Audioshake adds $2M for AI stem creation platform
Audioshake has announced the completion of a $2 million seed funding round.
Audioshake’s on-demand A.I.-driven platform deconstructs songs into their parts (“stems”) so that they can be monetized for new uses in re-mixes, samples, sync licensing, and more.
“While there are already many uses for stems today, we are moving into a world in which stems will become even more important, underpinning most of our future music experiences–from sync licensing, re-mixing, and mash-ups, to spatial or immersive audio, VR/AR, and gaming. And yet the vast majority of recorded music does not have stems,” said Jessica Powell, the CEO and Co-founder of Audioshake.
The $2M round was led by Silicon Valley VC firm Precursor Ventures, with participation from Wndrco, Cruch Ventures, Hilary Rosen (ex-Chairman and CEO of RIAA), Suzy Ryoo (President, Q&A), Babatunde Balogun (CEO, LVRN), Gwen Bethel Riley (SVP, Music at Peloton), Grammy-winning songwriter/producers Gregg Wattenberg and Billy Mann, artists Brent Faiyaz and Rodney Jerkins, Jayne Andrews, and Ty Baisden.
Since launching earlier this year Audioshkae has added Primary Wave, Hipgnosis, Spirit, peermusic, Downtown Music Services; CODISCOS, Cherry Red Records, Mute Records, Crush Music; CD Baby, and Audiosocket as clients.
