SoundExchange has announced the promotion of Tim Dadson to General Counsel. He will also serve as the chief legal advisor to SoundExchange and will form part of the executive team reporting to Michael Huppe, the President and CEO.
Brieanne Jackson has been promoted to SoundExchange Deputy General Counsel from Assistant General Counsel, Licensing & Enforcement.
• ADA Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent label and artist services arm, has reshuffled its leadership deck. Marcus Siskind has joined the company as Head of U.S., overseeing business development and label management and Adriana Sein has been appointed as Head of International, focused on the company’s global business. Both are based in NY.
• TuneCore has named Nicholas Krus to the position of Vice President, Marketing. In his new role, Krus will oversee all areas of marketing including brand, acquisition, retention, analytics, and research. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Client Marketing.
Senior Director Melanie Seddon will continue to lead Brand Marketing, encompassing social media, branding, and events on a global level.
Also reporting to Krus are Erica Quinn, who has been promoted to Senior Director of Client Marketing, with additional responsibility for Acquisition Marketing, and Reva Sookraj continuing in her role as Manager of Consumer & Market Research.
• Warner Chappell Music has named Santiago Menéndez-Pidal as President, Southern Europe. He will continue to be based in Madrid and report to Guy Moot, Co-Chair and CEO of Warner Chappell Music.
Menéndez-Pidal will continue to run WCM Spain, but will also oversee the publisher’s operations in Italy. Roberto Razzini, the Managing Director of WCM Italy, stepped down from his role at the end of August.
Menéndez-Pidal will also work with WCM’s local consultants in Greece and collaborate with WCM’s team in Paris.
Bruce Houghton is Founder and Editor of Hypebot and MusicThinkTank and serves as a Senior Advisor to Bandsintown which acquired both publications in 2019. He is the Founder and President of the Skyline Artists Agency and a professor for the Berklee College Of Music.
