DojaCat chooses OneOf for a greener NFT drop
Doja Cat has launched her first NFT collection via OneOf, the Quincy Jones-backed environmentally-friendly music NFT platform.
“I don’t know that much about NFT’s. But what I do know is that they can be bad for the environment and cost a fortune. Mine won’t.”

The first drop of Doja Cat’s Genesis Collection, Planet Doja, goes live on Wednesday live on OneOf.com, with Drop 2 and Drop 3 unveiled tomorrow and Friday.

All NFTs come with special power to FUSE into new tokens in future Doja Cat collections.
Why OneOf?
While names like Quincy Jones and Doja Cat along with $63 million in funding bring attention to OneOf, its potential lies in its ability to break down the barriers that prevent most artists from launching NFTs and fans from buying them.
By creating a marketplace built on the Tezos blockchain to track ownership and transactions while pricing NFTs in US dollars and other traditional currencies rather than cryptocurrency, OneOf simplifies ownership and sidesteps the usual environmental issues.
The Tezos blockchain uses an estimated 2 million times less energy than other networks such as Ethereum.
“NFTs largely have been affordable only to high-end collectors, until now, says OneOf CEO & Co-Founder Lin Dai. “OneOf is built with a vision to be the most inclusive NFT platform. We help artists to use this exciting new technology to connect and share digital and IRL experiences with their true fans, and allow fans the choice to purchase an NFT with either FIAT or cryptocurrencies.”
Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, H.E.R., Charlie Puth, Jacob Collier, The Kid LAROI, TLC, G-Eazy, AURORA, Alesso are confirmed to release NFTs on the platform.
