Spotify’s HiFi plans leak on Reddit

Rumors that Spotify was nearing the launch of a HiFi / lossless music option have heated up over the last week.

Spotify announced back in February that hi-def music was on its release roadmap.

Now a clever Redditor has posted what they say is a video of the Spotify HiFi onboarding process. The video (below) matches previous leaks and reports.

Since then both Apple Music and Amazon Music have added versions of lossless audio at no extra cost. Apple even upped the ante by adding tracks recorded in Dolby spatial audio.
