Musicians and marketers take note: social music app EarBuds just raised $3M
EarBuds has raised $3 million for their social listening app which offers some interesting opportunities for musicians and influeners to connect with fans.
EarBuds’ $3 million Series A round was led by Ecliptic Capital with additional investment from the Andre Agassi Foundation and LFG Ventures. Live Nation, Facebook, and Endeavor are also early investors.
What is EarBuds?
EarBuds‘ social music app enables users to simultaneously listen to the same streams as their friends, favorite musicians, and others in real-time.
The secret sauce is that artists and fans can listen live together across multiple streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and soon Pandora and Amazon Music.
You will see a lot of sports figures on EarBuds since NFL offensive tackle Jason Fox conceptualized the app and serves as its CEO.
But that’s changing with Nelly among the musicians already on the platform. This could be an opportunity for other early music adopters.
