#SaveOurStages Delayed: SBA SVOG portal to re-open end of the week at earliest

The SBA admitted late Friday that it’s portal to administer $16.3 billion in Shuttered Venue Operating Grants (SVOG) to devastated independent music venues, promoters, and agents would not open until late this week at the earliest.

Thursday will mark 2 full weeks since the SBA was forced to shutter its new SVOG portal before it had taken a single grant application.

The US Office Of Inspector General also issued a letter critical of the SBA’s planning and questioning the agency’s ability to handle the massive grant program.
