Coachella, Stagecoach Cancelled For Third Time
Coachella and the Stagecoach Festival have both been canceled for the third time due to COVID-19.
Coachella 2020 was originally scheduled for April, then postponed to October 2020. Then it moved to April 2021.
“The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival currently scheduled for April 2021 are hereby canceled,” said Riverside County Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser on Friday.
“This order is intended to reduce the likelihood of exposure to COVID-19. If COVID-19 were detected at these festivals, the scope and number of attendees and the nature of the venue would make it infeasible, if not impossible, to track those who may be placed at risk.”
There’s no word from organizers or health officials about when Coachella will be rescheduled, but several reports point to Ocotober.
