Hello everyone, my name is Andy Gesner, and I am the owner and president of HIP Video Promo. This October, the company will turn 20 years old. During the two decades I’ve been in charge here at HIP, one of the most frequently asked questions I hear is, “what are your music video promotion packages?”.

But before we talk about music video promotion packages, let’s talk about your new music video. Keep in mind your new music video is your most powerful piece of marketing currency and you do not get a second chance to make a first impression. Here at HIP Video Promo, we are very selective about the videos we promote, and we don’t want to take on a project unless we are fully confident that this will be the client’s best first look for their musical career.

What we always suggest is if you’re going to go, go big or go home. If you’ve got a must-see music video, the package I always recommend is the “pedal to the metal” package. Many people in indie nation think it’s YouTube and YouTube only; well, I am here to tell you there are many opportunities for exposure for your music video. Let’s start right at the top: BET, BET Jams, MTV, mtvU, MTV Pluto, Music Choice, Revolt. TV is a time-tested medium, and there are many opportunities for terrestrial television exposure at numerous regional and multi-market networks across the country, such as California Music Channel in Oakland, Video Jam in Worcester, Massachusetts, or Ditty TV in Memphis.

Now more than ever, OTT platforms are a huge exposure opportunity. “OTT” is music video content being delivered via the internet: Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, Sling, and Apple TV, are all excellent ways to get your video seen by the maximum number of viewers and provide you the best return on investment.

If you’ve got a great video, you want to make sure that that video is presented to loads of top music websites and blogs. Why are these websites and blogs important? Having them vouch for you by securing placement on their site is a huge win for any independent artist or band looking to grow their fan base.

There are certainly ways to have your video seen on YouTube that steer clear of all of the fraudulent programs and packages out there that bring artists nothing but fake views. Here at HIP Video Promo, we’re not about that; what we like is genuine, authentic, and organic. How do we do it? It’s just like Spotify: you build relationships with the YouTube playlist curators. Every music video promotion campaign that we offer up to a client has social media marketing included, as well as pitching to YouTube playlist curators. These folks are very selective in making their playlists. While many times they pass or inform us your video doesn’t fit their filter, with tenacious pitching and follow-up, we’re very proficient at getting your video included on top YouTube playlists.

To wrap things up, your best path forward is to talk to someone who is knowledgeable about music video promotion packages. Give me a call. My name is Andy; I am the owner and president of HIP Video Promo, and I always talk to every artist directly. I want to make sure every client or potential client can speak with me, the person in charge. My number is (732) 613-1779, or you can email info@HIPVideoPromo.com. I’m looking forward to speaking with you!
