Remote Music Collaboration with SoundStorming
Remote music collaboration has taken on new importance in a locked-down world. But even post-COVID, the ability to collaborate with a global community of creators can be lifechanging.
Arnau Bosch, co-founder, CEO of SoundStorming, joins co-hosts Michael Brandvold and Jay Gilbert for this Music Biz Weekly Podcast episode.
For the past 4 years, Arnau has been leading the most significant and iconic global campaigns for Apple – all of them with Music on its core from the launch of Apple Music to AirPods.
This new iOS app lets you record audio one minute at a time, making it well suited to get down melodies, chord progressions, and other musical scraps in the moment of inspiration.
Users can publish those recordings to their profile, which opens them up for collaboration with the entire SoundStorming community, who can take what you’ve made and build upon it for themselves – adding vocal lines to guitar parts, basslines to drum loops, and so on.
Sessions can also be private with restricted access.
