Symphonic Partners With AMPED For Indie Physical Distribution
Indie digital distributor Symphonic has inked a partnership with APMED to offer select artists and labels distribution of vinyl, CDs, Blu-ray and cassettes to big-box, chain, indie, non-traditional, and web stores in North America and beyond.
AMPED’s own label and artist roster includes Kobalt Music, Cult Records, ToneTree, Light in the Attic, Blackened Recordings, Kartel, Compass Records, Yellow Sound, Smooch Music, MTheory, Nick Cave, Ty Segall, Pretty Lights, Die Antwoord, Rival Sons, Heffron Drive, Hollie Cook, Roadkill Ghost Choir and Sheila E.
“Offering physical distribution is a natural extension of Symphonic’s comprehensive digital music and video distribution offering and artist services arsenal,” says Nick Gordon, Symphonic’s Chief Client Officer.
“What’s more, we’re glad to help labels get their products into stores during what has been a stressful time in the physical distribution and retail business. AMPED is the best in the business, and we’re excited to work with Dean, Jocelyn, Michael Toppe, and the rest of our old friends there.”
