Red Bull Records Bulks Up A&R Team
Red Bull Records has promoted Kenny “Tick” Salcido to Senior Vice President of A&R and added Charles “CB” Burks as Director of A&R. Salcido will report to Greg Hammer, Managing Director of Red Bull Records and Charles “CB” Burks will report to Salcido.
Charles served as Director of A&R at Universal Music Group label 10:22PM.
Since joining Red Bull in 2012, "Tick" has been responsible for signing breakout talent like The Aces and Beartooth and established musicians like Albert Hammond Jr. Within the past year, Kenny has been responsible for building a strong A&R/scouting department, which has ushered in recent label signings like songwriter August 08 and recording artist/songwriter Gavin Haley.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to lead A&R efforts into the future”, said Salcido. “I look forward to finding career artists and assisting those artists in making a true cultural impact in music. I admire the vision of Red Bull Records which is to truly support artistic creativity and originality in music.”
On making the announcement, Hammer said: “We couldn’t be happier to promote Kenny to Senior Vice President of A&R here at Red Bull Records. Kenny has an inherent passion for music coupled with the ability to identify and develop unique artistic voices. He is an important part of the future of Red Bull Records and will continue to lead efforts in expanding our roster with amazing musicians.”
The team will be based in the Los Angeles headquarters of Red Bull Records.
