BTS Is First K-Pop Artist To Pass 5 Billion Spotify Streams

BTS has released its new album, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA today and Spotify is confirming that they are now the first K-Pop group and first artist from Asia to surpass 5 billion streams on the platform.

BTS also has an impressive 10 million followers on Spotify. Their hit song ‘FAKE LOVE’ – Spotify’s most streamed K-Pop track of 2018 – has over 219 million streams.

The group has also dedicated a special Spotify playlist of their favorite music to their fans – AKA the ARMY. For the next seven days, the BTS boys will take control of Spotify’s Teen arty playlist, selecting songs from around the world that has inspired them.
