Cleveland’s Stella’s Music Club Launches Indie Record Label
Cleveland's Stella’s Music Club has announced plans to launch their own record label Stella’s Records, sourcing music from artists and bands who perform at the nightclub.
The label, launched in partnership with Cleveland-based recording studio Superior Sound Studios with producer Jim Wirt, who relocated from Los Angeles and sound engineer Jim Stewart.
Distribution for the label will be handled by Warner Music Distribution.
The label has already signed their first act, the New York-based Birds in the Boneyard, who will be performing cuts from their first album Presenting Birds in the Boneyard.
Birds in the Boneyard has already performed at Stella’s during a private show for staff and the media on November 14th and will return on December 12th for a public performance as part of an official launch event for the label.
The Black Moods (of Tempe, Arizona), Pale Hollow (of Cleveland, Ohio) and Disconnected (owner Michael Zweig’s band of Cleveland, Ohio) will also be performing at the club in celebration of the launch.
