Last night's 2017 MTV Video Music Awards were dominated by Kendrick Lamar, who took home the most statues, including Video Of The Year. Ed Sheeran won Artist of The Year, in the first time that female and male musicians had gone head to head in the newly gender neutral category.
Politics, equality and messages of self-love dominated the evening with P!nk accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and sharing the story of her daughters path to self-acceptance.
Logic, Khalid and Alessia Cara performed a moving rendition of “1-800-273-8255” alongside suicide survivors, and the mother of Charlottesville, VA victim Heather Heyer declared all six nominees for Best Fight Against The System as winners.
