Music Podcaster Charged In Fatal T.I. Concert Shooting
A hip-hop podcaster is facing a homicide charge in connection with a fatal shooting during a performance by rapper T.I. at the Beacon Theater in New York last year. According to NBC News, Daryl Campbell, who also goes by the name Taxstone, pleaded not guilty Thursday in New York State Supreme Court.
His attorney, Kenneth Montgomery, says Campbell plans to fight the charges.
The shooting occurred in May 2016, shortly before T.I. took the stage. A bodyguard of the rapper Roland Collins, who performs as Troy Ave, was killed in the shooting that left three others, including Collins, wounded.
Campbell last month plead guilty to federal gun charges over illegal possession of a firearm from another state. Authorities allege that Campbell's weapon was used to kill Ronald McPatter, Troy Ave's bodyguard.
