Former Etsy Exec Chad Dickerson Joins Bandcamp Advisory Board
Former Etsy CTO Chad Dickerson has joined Bandcamp's Advisory Board. His addition is a rare shift for closely held and often secretive indie music services provider and fan destination.
"His passion for music and appreciation of our artist-friendly model make him uniquely suited to help us grow Bandcamp in a thoughtful and sustainable way," Ethan Diamond, co-founder of the direct to fan service wrote on a blog post.
"Way back in the summer of 2010, I had lunch with Ethan Diamond and Shawn Grunberger, the co-founders of Bandcamp, and we compared notes on a lot of topics (I was CTO at Etsy then)," Dickerson wrote on his own blog."Over the years, we’ve kept in touch. I just happened to have a lunch set up with Ethan and Josh Kim (Bandcamp COO) the week of the Etsy announcement and it was really fun. They asked me to be an advisor and I couldn’t resist getting involved. "
