Is Video Push Next For Spotify As Former Disney, YouTube Execs Join Board Of Directors
Spotify is reportedly adding 4 new members to its board of directors prior to its stock listing. The choice of former execs from YouTube and Disney who have experience with video, alongside board member Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, is fueling speculation that Spotify may make a major push into video streaming.
The new unconfirmed Spotify Board of Directors members are:
- Tom Staggs, former COO at Walt Disney
- Padmasree Warrior, U.S. head of electric car company NextEV
- Shishir Mehrotra, former YouTube head of product
- Cristina Stenbeck of investment firm Kinnevik
