The Bieb is back! Oh, wait… you only wished that he went away. Talk all you want about Ed Sheeran and Drake as the streaming success stories of 2017, but Justin Bieber just helped break a YouTube record with the biggest music video debut of 2017.
The static video, tracked by a remix of Despacito with Justin Bieber singing in Spanish, just had the biggest musical debut so far in 2017 on YouTube. The video, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee – Despacito (Audio) ft. Justin Bieber, surpassed Ed Sheeran's Shape of You and BTS.
The remix generated 20 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours. Four days later it's now over 38 million views.
The original version of Despacito continues in position #1 spot in the YouTube Global Music Top 100 Charts and is about to reach a billion views.
