UPDATE: Spotify To Stream Radiohead “Moon Shaped Pool” 6.17, But It Almost Became Streamer’s First Windowed Release
UPDATE: Radhiohead's latest album "A Moon Shaped Pool" will be available for streaming on Spotify starting on June 17th, the same day that the CD and vinyl versions of the album are released. But a bigger story has just been uncovered.

Spotify will begin streaming Radhiohead's new "A Moon Shaped Pool" on June 17th, the same day that the new album is released on CD and vinyl.
Radiohead have been vocal critics of Spotify's freemium model. The band made this album available for streaming only on Apple Music and Tidal on May 8th, the day that it was released as a paid download.
UPDATE: Spotify was in advanced discussions with Radiohead's team to make "A Moon Shaped Pool" the first album to be available only to premium subscribers, sources tell Eamonn Forde of Music Ally. That would have been a substantial reversal from Spoitfy's poilicy – and very public spats with Taylor Swift, Adele and others – that all music must be made available to both Spotify free and paid users at the same time.
Now, the message on Radiohead's Spotify profile page reads:
Radiohead’s latest album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ will be available here from 17th June. Come back then to listen.
