SoundCloud Adds Charts In Bid To Improve Music Discovery
Now that it has cut licensing deals with 2 of the 3 major label groups and many indies, SoundCloud is finally getting more serious about music discovery with the launch of charts.
SoundCloud has finally added charts. The move should increase music discovery on the platform as it nears the launch of a paid subscription music option.
In addition to a Top 50 chart, which can be viewed by genre or the site as a whole, the music destination has added a "New & Hot" up and coming music chart. It too can be viewed by one of a dozen music genres listed below or all genres combined as pictured above.
