Capitol Records Names Nate Albert EVP A&R
They may be laying off executives and staffers in some executive suites at the Capitol Music Group, but they are hiring in others. Today, Nate Albert was named EVP of A&R for Capitol Records.

Nate Albert has been named Executive Vice President, A&R for Capitol Records. He moves to LA afters years as SVP of A&R for Republic Records, and was the co-founder of ska legends the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Albert had quite a hot streak at Republic including signing The Weeknd whose last album is over 4 million in adjusted sales. He also signed Phantogram, oversaw the release of the Academy Award-nominated soundtrack for Les Misérables and was integrally involved in releases from Florence + The Machine, The Lonely Island, and others.
