Trademark Filings Point To 4 More Apple Music Beats Stations
Rumors that Apple Music will be expanding its Beats live online stations are gaining credence with the discovery of November trademark filings by an Apple attorney.
Apple Music has filed for trademarks for the names B2, B3, B4 and B5 along with accompanying logos for Beats 2, Beats 3 Beats 4 and Beats 5. The logos match the one currently used by Apple Music's flagship station. Beats 1.
Exactly what the stations will program is unclear. The trademark filings, first spotted by French blog Consomac, only reference the generic descriptions of a service that will broadcast "voice, data, images, music, audio, video, multimedia, television, and radio by means of telecommunications networks."
Beats1 broadcasts 24/7 to over 100 countries from studios in Los Angeles, New York, and London.
