Flipagram Adds 1000+ Verified Musicians
Its been a solid year of growth for video sharing app Flipagra;. and music has played a central role, thanks in large part to some key licensing deals and a growing Verified artist program.

Flipagram, a personal video story app, has announced that more than 1,000 musicians became “Flipagram Verified” users of the service in 2015 with 800 joining in the second half of the year. That was when Flipagram closed licensing deals with labels including Universal, Sony, Warner, Merlin and The Orchard and music publishers including Sony/ATV, Universal, BMG, and the NMPA.
These deals allow Flipagram users to include up to 60 seconds of free music from millions of song previews as the soundtrack of their Flipagram personal video stories (Flips).
Flipagram Verified
In addition to sharing their own Flips with fans, Verified Artists on Flipagram also get increased promotion of their music throughout the app, customized outlinks, the ability to create unique hashtag campaigns, and badged interactions that encourage users to create more of the kinds of Flipagrams that artists like. Verified artists include Pharrell, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cam and Tim McGraw,
“People are taking more and more photos and videos with their phones, increasingly choosing to create Flips and tell a whole video story set to music, rather than sharing just a single silent moment or fleeting video highlight,” said Farhad Mohit co-founder and CEO of Flipagram.
