Seat Geek Raises $62 Million
Ticketing is a hot sector still dominated by Ticketmaster. That's starting to change and with it consumer patterns are shifting. All that seems to be encouraging investors to open their wallets.
Ticket search engine SeatGeek has raised a $62 million Series C funding round of funding led by Technology Crossover Ventures along with previous investors, including Accel, Causeway Media Partners and Mousse Partners.
That brings SeatGeek's total funding to $103 million since launching in 2009. SeatGeek aggregates ticket listings for live music, sports, and theater events.
Awful name. Seems…smelly.
