Steve Schenck Joins TKO Agency
The Kirby Organization has announced that veteran agent Steve Schenck has joined the team. With 20 years of experience under his belt, Schenck brings with him an artist roster that includes Bachman & Turner, Billy Squier, Blue Öyster Cult, Burton Cummings, Randy Bachman, The Robin Zander Band, and Uriah Heep.
Prior to joining TKO, Schenck was overseeing Resolution's music department with Terry Rhodes until the Agency announced it would be winding up in October. Prior to Resolution, Schenck spent a tenure at Paradise Artists.
"I feel as if I'm coming full-circle," says Schenck in a statement, who not only hired Dave Kirby at The Agency Group two decades ago, but also hired TKO President Andrew Goodfriend. "We've all come a long way since working together in New York City in the mid-'90s, now we have the opportunity to build a new future together."
Adds Goodfriend, "It seems only natural that TKO merge forces with Steve – as odd as it may seem, Steve helped plant the seeds that would become The Kirby Organization in 1994, it's an honor to finally be working together once again."
"Steve brings a respected veteran presence and a distinguished roster of acts to TKO," says CEO Mike Monterulo. "This merger is the start of a new chapter for our agency, and we couldn't be more excited.'
