Thom Yorke’s BitTorrent Bundle Passes 1.2 Million Downloads

BitTorrent Bundles allow artists to distribute content directly to fans via the net and keep approximately 90% of revenue. Each bundle comes with a key that can be unlocked by a direct payment to the artist. "The idea is to make each song a storefront, and each file more valuable, every time it’s shared," says BitTorrent.
Yorke is calling ot "an experiment to see if the mechanics of the system are something that the general public can get its head around." While initial numbers are impressive, there's no word yet from Yorke if he thinks the experiment is working and delivering significant revenue.
