Zuckerberg Reveals New Facebook, Instagram Stats; $2B Oculus VR Purchase

Social media's march to mobile continues. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed Tuesday that the social network now has more than 1 billion active users on mobile devices. Facebook owned Instagram now has more than 200 million active monthly users on it's mostly mobile platform.

That's up from 150 million Instagram users last September. 20 billion photos have been shared on the service.

The announcements came on the same day that Faceboook announced it has acquired virtual reality startup Oculus for $2 billion (details here).
