SFX Entertainment's newest acquisition is ticketing company Flavorus which serves important EDM events among a variety of clients. Eventbrite's $60 Million Round Raises Valuation to $1 Billion
Eventbrite recently raised $60 million in a secretive funding round.
Apparently Tiger and T. Rowe wanted in quite badly and covered the whole round themselves. In fact, a source said, "They probably would have invested more if they could have."
According to Fortune's Dan Primack this may mean Eventbrite is unlikely to IPO till next year.
Brown Paper Tickets Debuts Ticket Sharing Via SMS
To make matters easier for group ticket purchases Brown Paper Tickets introduced Transfer-to-a-Friend this month. The patent-pending tech allows group organizers to "skip waiting at will call or standing around to hand deliver printed tickets to your friends."
Transfer-to-a-Friend is a feature available to any Brown Paper Tickets ticket buyer.
While Brown Paper Tickets is trying to make it easier for friends to share tickets, they're also working to undermine scalping with their Anti-Scalping Suite that bundles together a group of optional tools to fight scalpers.
