The Upward Spiral Podcast
I enjoy your podcast, but have to leave a message after listening to the last two episodes. I appreciate podcasts like The Upward Spiral because it empowers me and other musicians to compete in the market, and innovate our marketing approach to making money in the music business. Making us aware of the newest online tools, sales tools, and more, but I can’t help but notice the new host repeatedly mentioning her wonder and disappointment of why our government doesn’t simply give more grants and money to musicians. Does she not realize that the federal government is $17 trillion in debt, and that these grants coercively take money from others? Shit, instead of encouraging artists to take innovative approaches to their careers, improve their craft, business acumen, and actually compete in the market place, just tell listeners to live on the government dole, and call it your last podcast?!
Its actually a bit insulting. But then again, perhaps we should have all listened to our parents and become a doctor or a lawyer like they suggested?
